Sketch of two passed artists I like. I’m in between shelf exams, and school’s going just fine.
The sunrise over New York City, seen from a familiar couch. The Chrysler building is on the left, and behind the buildings in the middle is Queensbridge, the world’s largest projects. None of these structures existed a handful of lifetimes ago. Regarding a conversation tonight.. Why do we do anything we do? What’s the endgame of it all? Should we attempt to validate our existence? Should we passively and uncomplicatedly enjoy each day with our loved ones? Perhaps, we should avoid caffeine at 4 am, my goodness.
From Friday’s session. Was again going for the James Jean blue/red look. My friend said it looked like the Obama campaign (lol) so I added in all the purple.
View from the roof of my apartment building in New Orleans with the Superdome lit in green. Sometimes your brain just wants to do a lot of thinking, and city rooftops are one of my favorite places to do that.
Figure drawing friday part 2, higgins ink. Proctor was running a bit late and I think today is the first time i had a conversation with the model before starting the session. That connection even if small definitely influences how the drawing comes out.
Figure drawing at the undergrad campus. Nice way to spend a free friday. Time is scarcer in med school, sure, but pleasantly there’s time to do everything you love doing.
